If you’re like us, you’re someone who looooves to get shet done. Crossing things off a to-do list? Keeping on schedule with your calendar? Hosting events that actually happen as planned? Yes, please! And, as we all know, the right tools can make a world of difference in the results.
Here are our top 7 favorite tools for productivity and peace of mind, both in the studio and at home. Take a look and try a few for yourself in 2022…
Tools for Productivity at Work
Asana: We use Asana to manage all of our internal workflows, to-dos, and projects. It allows us to assign tasks to other team members, communicate in one place (no zillion emails everywhere), set deadlines, and more. We LOVE it. Plus, marking tasks as complete is almost as satisfying as crossing them off on paper. Almost.
Voxer: Voxer is the digital world’s walkie-talkie app and a staple in our workday. It lets us send voice messages to each other by phone for those times when writing an email (or meeting in person) isn’t possible or efficient. I personally love to use Voxer in those in-between/down moments during the day, such as waiting in the carline to pick up my kids after school or when walking our Boxer puppy, Poppy.
Spark Mail: We love Spark Mail for inbox organization, filtering out spam, and just generally feeling in control of our inbox these days. If opening up Gmail scares you, Spark Mail can help you tame the chaos and feel in charge again.
Tools for Productivity & Peace of Mind at Home
Plan to Eat: Have you ever been mid-meal prep and realized you were missing an ingredient? Me too, but not since I started using Plan to Eat. Now, I will never go back to meal planning without it. It lets you collect recipes from anywhere, schedule them into your calendar, and best of all, it creates a shopping list for you from the recipes. Which brings me to…
Delivery: Full confession: I originally resisted this one. Now, my family uses curbside or auto-delivery for anything and everything: groceries, feminine products (this is a fave), dog food, etc. And it has been life-changing. You get back your time, decrease stress, and plan ahead better than when wandering the aisles aimlessly. If weekly shopping is a source of unwanted stress for you, give delivery a try. You won’t regret it.
Spotify: For a daily mood boost (that works just as well at work, too), Spotify is our go-to. I have it on desktop and mobile for music in the office, on-the-go, and at home to use with our speakers. Can’t miss a Brene Brown podcast!
Nuuly: I haven’t personally tried Nuuly, but our Designer, Kennedi, loves it. It’s a clothing rental service (and brilliant idea) that lets you “borrow” up to 6 items for an entire month. It’s a great way to try out different styles and brands, and you can even buy the items if you fall in love with them. Best of all (at least for this mother of two), no laundry. The service takes care of all cleaning and repairs when you return them. Sign me up!
